More about the Birthday Boy!!!!

Here's a few more fun facts about Mason Grey..........

First of all about his name. I initially wanted to name his Greyson. Ron wanted to name him Myles. I wasnt sold on Myles and he wasnt having my name. Finally we found the name Mason and took the Grey from my name and combined them together...Mason Grey. So I guess you could say we compromised. I think he won out though, because 2 yrs later he got a Myles anyway!

Mason was born at 7:14 a.m. the day of his due date. (This goes hand in hand with his personality. He is all about business. He is on time, usually early and ready to go get em!)

Mason weighed in at 7lb 14oz. He has known since he was little what he likes and if he doesn't get what he knows he wants or likes, he lets us know. He is particular about what he eats (not that he's picky), he just enjoys a well thought out meal. He likes to wear specific clothes and he likes to be to school at least 15 minutes early everyday....

All in all, Mason is very Punctual, a great Planner, Stubborn, and Full of lots and lots of Energy..... Thanks for keeping us in line and always having a plan of activities for us to keep busy with. Love you, MOM

MASON'S B-DAY cOUNTDOWN........

So April is Mason's Birthday Month. Not only is this a special day because it is the day he was born, but this year Mason will be turning "8" and getting Baptized. I can't believe he is that old!!
I thought for the next 15 days I would post a few times leading up to his special day with some cute new pics and a few facts about him:

1. He is an early-riser. Never sleeps past 6:30. He must have a great internal alarm!

2. He loves to play golf and is excited not only to live down the street from Gladstan Golf Course, but to be able to have golf lessons this whole summer and play along with his dad....

3. He loves to eat. To top his list of favorite foods is:

Easter Egg Coloring 2010

My kids are at perfect ages to color Easter eggs! No major messes or big spills to speak of this year. The kids all loved mixing the colors and put special "claim" on their favorite color. We colored extra eggs so that we could take them with us to St. George later that week to roll down a hill. This was a tradition I remember doing as a child and wanted to share that with my kids this year. (pics of our fun/filled Easter in St. George are still to come)

I love Easter. All the bright colored eggs, the new baby chicks, the newness of Spring, Easter Bunny, and egg hunts.... Most importantly though, what I try to have my kids understand about Easter is remembering Christ's Atonement. Its hard for them to grasp this still at their little ages, but they listen and try to understand the Resurrection. So through the "coloring of the eggs" and the "rolling of them down the hills," in some way will allow them to let all this knowledge seep into their minds and grasp the TRUE reason of why we celebrate Easter.

KINDY CAR 2010

Whats a "Kindy Car" one might ask? Well it is a car that all the students in Myles' kindergarten class are supposed to make. They are allowed to choose whatever style, color, shape that they want. Myles had already determined an Army Tank painted camou was what he was going to do. They take these cars to school and travel in them to different parts of the country to visit the symbols of freedom. Pretty appropriate that he chose a "Tank"as his vehicle. As I posted before, the result of making this car not only produced Myles an Army Tank, but also the display of Grafitti across the outside of our house. Too bad I was too busy celebrating my sisters birthday in Salt Lake and not able to prevent that catastrophe from happening. Live and learn right. Tooth Fairy

Myles lost his first tooth about a week ago. He just doesn't seem quite old enough to be losing his baby teeth. He was so brave and pulled it out himself. He stood in the bathroom in front of the mirror and wiggled and wiggled until it finally popped out! His main concern about losing it was that he wouldn't be able to Whistle anymore. To his great relief, he remains a whistling fool......Way to go on your 1st tooth, Myles! Only 25 more to go...........

GRAFFITTI

Recently, (being last night), I came home to find this display of artwork beautifying my home. I went out for a night out to celebrate my sisters birthday. My husband and kids decided to work on Myles' "Kindy Car," which I will post about later. They had cans of spray paint out and apparently my husband isn't as attentive to what the other children are doing while he is busy at work.... Surprise, surprise. Miss little Maggie decided to paint the house with RED spray paint. Not only did she paint the rocks, she painted two pillars, watering pitcher, two of my flower pots, the smaller garage door, a couple tree trunks, and part of the sidewalk. Literally she went to town. I just wonder how someone so cute and sweet can accomplish the things that she did last night. Not only did she decide to decorate the outside, she also used bright green fingernail polish to paint one cushion on our leather couch. We've used Mr. Clean "Magic Erasers," and apparently they arent all that magical when it comes to spraypaint..... Any helpful advice would be welcoming!
